The Lekwungen Community Portal will allow community members to store and access important stories, songs, artwork, language and other culturally significant resources plus establish and trace family trees through purposely developed modules. The additional job board will extend beyond just the posting of jobs to applications. This tool will allow community employment coordinators to more easily review and assign prospective employees with employers and ensure the prospective employees have the necessary training.
The Lekwungen Community Portal will provide user authentication and will give the users complete control over their privacy settings, allowing them to control who has access to personal information/material. An open-source approach will be used to ensure ongoing sustainability of the system.
